Group courses take place in Soul Yoga Cork Studio in Frankfield (Lots of free parking outside and located near the Kinsale Road Roundabout. This is a venue accessed by stairs.)
Holding small and intimate group courses enables me to offer a unique and high-quality experience in contrast to large groups offered by hospital antenatal classes.
This is a full hypnobirthing and birth preparation course which will take you from nervous and worried about labour or birth, to feeling calm, excited and ready for your little baby!

Please wear comfortable clothing. The in person hypnobirthing course in Cork City is taking place in a yoga studio so we will need to remove shoes in the hallway, so please wear any socks that feel comfortable to you (or you may prefer to be barefoot). I will be wearing my comfy fluffy socks :)
You will likely join online classes from the comfort of your own home, please note I do ask for cameras to be on but feel comfortable to join in your pjs if you like! No judgement here :)
There is no need to take notes during in-person or online courses as a full resource pack will be provided after the course.
The course includes a full-day in-person course, a lovely goodie bag, a course e-workbook, guided hypnobirthing MP3s, ongoing support from me right up to your birth and a deeper connection and lovely day with your birth partner. Plus tea and snacks, of course!
Lunch is not included in the course price.
We will take breaks during the course and a one hour lunch break during all one day Courses, online and in person. I can tell you about the cafes loved by Cork locals and there is also a SuperValu and Aldi within close driving distance to our venue for lunchtime.
I will provide refreshments, teas, coffees and some light bites but do feel free to bring any snacks or lunch you enjoy.

Hypnobirthing gives partners a clear role, helps them feel confident and informed, and shows them exactly how to support you during labour and birth. Many partners say it completely changed how they felt about birth — from something to fear to something they felt ready for.
Totally understandable — and they are not alone in thinking that! The majority of partners arrive at the course a little unsure, especially if they imagine hypnobirthing means incense and chanting. But what they quickly discover is that it’s actually really practical. I teach evidence-based tools that help you both feel calmer, more in control, and genuinely prepared for labour — whatever path your birth takes. In my experience, partners end up surprised by how grounded and informative the course is — and I often hear partners say afterwards, “this should be mandatory!” It's not about being ‘hippy’ at all — it’s about being prepared for birth.
Not in the stage-show sense - this is not a Keith Barry show! Hypnobirthing uses simple, everyday techniques like breathing, visualisation and relaxation. You’ll be completely aware and in control at all times during my course.

Not at all. Hypnobirthing is for every birth, not just unmedicated ones. You’ll learn how to use the tools alongside any pain relief or medical support you choose. Whether you are having your baby in CUMH or any of the other maternity hospitals in Ireland or at home, I am here to support you in your birth choices.
Most people begin anytime from 24–34 weeks, but it’s never too early or too late. The sooner you start, the more time you have to practise the techniques and enjoy the benefits. I send a bundle of hypnobirthing tracks to all clients once a booking is made, meaning you can kick off your practice before your hypnobirthing course day here in Cork or online.

Babies don't read plans, so we don't make specific plans for labour. What we can do is educate ourselves in order to have preferences for our care. My course will guide you through various options so you can create birth preferences for your own circumstances.

My classes work alongside your local HSE or CUMH Antenatal Class options as they build upon the information which you receive at your hospital antenatal class about hospital policies and procedures. My hypnobirthing courses provide evidence based information and latest international research on topics you might not hear about in a standard hospital antenatal class.
