What is a Birth Comb?
The Birth Comb is a simple and natural comfort tool used by women all over the world to help manage sensations during labour.
By holding the comb in your hand and gently squeezing it during contractions, the teeth apply light pressure to acupressure points in your palm. This helps trigger your body’s natural pain-relief response and redirects focus from intense sensations.

How the Birth Comb helps during labour
The Birth Comb supports both your body and mind by helping you:
- Activate natural endorphins. The acupressure points in your palm stimulate your body’s natural pain-relieving hormones.

Hold the birth comb ensuring that the teeth are situated just beneath the junctions of your fingers and palm. Gently squeeze and apply pressure during labour contractions. Remember to focus on your breathing with slow, deep breaths between each contraction.

No, the comb has rounded teeth to prevent skin trauma (we caution against cheap, plastic sharp teeth combs)
