I'm Louise, mum to three and a Certified Childbirth Educator, Hypnobirthing Instructor and Postpartum Doula based in Cork.

I support parents to prepare for birth feeling calm, confident and informed as they get ready to meet their baby.

Through in-person hypnobirthing courses in Cork and Kerry, and private online support for families across Ireland, I offer practical, realistic preparation for birth.

My courses focus on helping you understand how birth works, what your options are, and how to approach labour feeling supported and prepared.

Alongside this, you will learn simple, effective breathing and relaxation tools that you can use in pregnancy and labour to stay focused and calm.

The Role of the Birth Partner

A strong focus of my classes is the role of the birth partner.

Many partners arrive unsure of how they can help. By the end of the course, they understand how to support you, create a calm environment, and communicate with your care team - so you can approach birth together as a prepared and confident team.

A Realistic Approach to Birth Preparation

While many families hope for a physiological birth, my approach is about preparing you for birth in a realistic and supportive way.

Birth can take different paths, and my goal is to help you feel calm, informed and confident regardless of how your baby arrives - whether that includes induction, epidural or caesarean birth.

My Own Experience

I used hypnobirthing throughout all three of my own pregnancies and births. Each experience was different, but the tools helped me stay focused, calm and confident.

That personal experience is one of the reasons I care so deeply about supporting other parents as they prepare for birth.

Families travel from across Cork, Kerry and the wider Munster region to attend my courses. I also support parents across Ireland through private online sessions.

Luna Birth Services has also been featured in Mum & Tots Magazine. I was invited to speak at Mum Talks Cork, sharing practical postpartum support for mothers, and I am available to speak at pregnancy and parenting events.

I am a qualified volunteer breastfeeding counsellor with Cuidiú and registered with the Federation of Antenatal Educators (FEDANT), which maintains the National Register of Antenatal Educators, verifying that educators meet national safety standards and hold appropriate qualifications and insurance.

The organisations I trained with are accredited by the Royal College of Midwives (RCM), FEDANT, and the International Institute for Complementary Therapists.
