Hypnobirthing is truly for all types of birth and that’s because there is so much about hypnobirthing that is incredibly useful to help you to feel calm and in control during a caesarean birth.
Whatever language you choose to use i.e. Caesarean, C-Section, Belly or Abdominal Birth - I will support you so that your birth experience and the day of your baby's birth can be a truly amazing birth experience.
Hypnobirthing will allow expectant parents to prepare positively for their caesarean birth: reducing fear, understanding their choices and having tools to make the experience as calm and positive as possible. Not only will hypnobirthing techniques be able to help you during birth (and whilst waiting on the ward), they will help you to feel calm and confident during pregnancy too when connecting with baby.
The MP3 audio tracks which we provide can be really powerful to help to maintain focus and switch off from everything else going on around you, particularly if you are nervous of the hospital setting. The audios can even be listened to whilst your baby is being born.
Feeling relaxed during a caesarean birth needs preparation and tools to help. Emotional responses are driven by the mind, so practice and preparation are key. Hypnobirthing provides powerful tools for this. Feeling at ease with the process on an inner level is so important. Developing the ability to relax deeply and easily takes time.
Caesarean birth includes many choices and we will review and create a birth preferences document for your individual desires. We will also review what happens if your baby comes before your planned birth date and how to cope with an unexpected spontaneous labour.
In addition, there can be times of discomfort in the run up, during and when healing from a caesarean birth. Hypnobirthing tools can help with pain management. The time spent preparing for birth in this way is a valuable bonding time for parents and their unborn baby: this has long term benefits. Relaxation can actually aid the healing process after surgery.
This is a Private & Bespoke 1:1 course for yourself and your birth partner
Please have a pillow/cushions and blanket for you and your partner for the day in order to be cosy and comfortable for our relaxation and meditation sessions. Please wear comfortable clothes (think fluffy socks!).
You will likely join online classes from the comfort of your own home, please note I do ask for cameras to be on but feel comfortable to join in your pjs if you like! No judgement here :)
There is no need to take notes as a full resource pack will be provided after the course.
